Jean-Paul Kress MD, President & Chief Executive Officer, Sanofi Pasteur MSD

Jean-Paul Kress is President & Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi Pasteur MSD. He leads the company’s corporate teams and 19-country affiliates in the development and delivery of more than twenty-five innovative vaccines specifically within the unique European context.

Prior to joining Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Jean-Paul was Vice President and General Manager in France for Gilead, a major US-based biopharmaceutical company specialised in therapeutics to treat life-threatening diseases such as HIV. He joined Gilead in 2006 as Vice President, US Sales and Marketing, Antiviral Business Unit. During his five years within the company, he ensured strong business results, growing the products and affiliates he managed by double digits, while also delivering new HIV treatments such as Gilead’s Single Tablet HIV Regimen. Jean-Paul launched his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1993 as a product manager for Prozac at Eli Lilly and then held a number of sales, marketing and General Management positions in Europe and in the USA for Abbott Laboratories.

Jean-Paul Kress holds a MD Degree from Faculté Necker-Enfants Malades in Paris, France, and a Post-Graduate Degree in Pharmacology and Immunology from Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, France.

Didier Blondel, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Sanofi Pasteur MSD

Didier Blondel is Vice President Finance and Services, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, where he oversees Finance – accounting, controlling, tax and treasury – Information Systems – I.S. and I.T. – Purchasing, General Services and Real Estate activities at the European level.

Prior to joining the company in January 2012, Didier acquired a vast amount of international experience within Sanofi over the last 20 years, mostly in CFO roles in Pharmaceutical Operations and R&D. During that period, he has been instrumental in deep transformation and change management initiatives.

Didier graduated from ICN Business School (Nancy), and holds a Master Degree in Finance and Accounting (Nancy). He started his career in External Auditing for PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Harold (Hal) Glasser, Senior Director Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Sanofi Pasteur MSD

Hal Glasser is Senior Director Chief Compliance Officer for Sanofi Pasteur MSD.
He joined the company in 2012 from Merck in New Jersey, US, where he was an attorney in the Merck Legal Department. There he provided legal support relating to Merck joint ventures and corporate mergers, licensing and acquisition transactions. This followed twelve years managing legal affairs and legal compliance matters for Merck’s businesses in Asia Pacific, Japan and Latin America. Prior to joining Merck in 1988, Hal was a Research Fellow in Law at the Tokyo University, Graduate School of Law.
Hal received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. from the University of Rochester. He was admitted as an attorney to the New York State Bar in 1986.

Jim Dillman, Presidential Attaché, Sanofi Pasteur MSD Europe

Jim Dillman is the Attaché and Chief of Staff to the President of Sanofi Pasteur MSD, providing strategic guidance and oversight on the company’s key initiatives.

Jim most recently held the position of Director, State Government Affairs and Immunization Policy for Sanofi Pasteur in the US. Before this position he worked with the Fluzone® product team as Deputy Director for Product Management. From 2006 – 2009 Jim served as Sanofi Pasteur’s Director of Global Business and Strategic Planning.

He holds a BS in Business Management from Fairmont State University in West Virginia and an International M.B.A. from Temple University in Philadelphia/Institute Gestion Sociale, in Paris, France.

Guy Demol, Vice President, Development, Sanofi Pasteur MSD

Guy Demol is Vice President, Development for Sanofi Pasteur MSD where he leads the company’s activities in Clinical Research, Epidemiology, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management and Quality and Pharmaceutical Affairs.

He has held the position since January 2009. Guy joined the company in 2007 as Executive Director, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management. Prior to joining Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Guy was franchise head for vaccines of Merck’s European Regulatory Affairs Department. And since 1989 he has held different functions within MSD Belgium, in Medical Services and Regulatory Affairs.

He holds a Post-Graduate degree in Business Administration and a Medical Doctor Degree , all from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium.

Frederic Ganet, Vice President, Human Resources, Legal and Internal Communications, Sanofi Pasteur MSD

Frederic Ganet is Vice President Human Resources, Legal and Internal Communications Sanofi Pasteur MSD, where he leads development of the company’s HR strategies, and change & performance management.

Prior to joining Sanofi Pasteur MSD in May 2011, Frederic was Senior Director, Global HR partner for R&D and CMO (Chief Medical Office) at Sanofi Pasteur, a company he first joined in 2005 as Director of Human Resources for Latin America and then Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Sanofi Pasteur, Frederic worked in HR management positions with Merial and Bayer CropScience.

He holds a Master degree in Human Resources Management from Institut de Gestion Sociale de Lyon (IGS) and a Business, Psychology and Communications degree from the University of Aix en Provence.

Andrea Rappagliosi, Vice President, Market Access, Health Policy and Medical Affairs, Sanofi Pasteur MSD

Andrea Rappagliosi is the Vice President of Market Access, Health Policy and Medical Affairs at Sanofi Pasteur MSD.
Andrea most recently worked with GlaxoSmithKline as Vice President of European Government Affairs & Head of the Brussels Office. Since 1992, he has held pharmaceutical management positions at Serono International (now Merck Serono International), Baxter Healthcare, and The Ares-Serono Group. Throughout his career, he has been a member of key European pharmaceutical and bioscience boards, working groups and steering commitees. He was most recently named President of Vaccines Europe. Andrea began his career in the Italian Government.
Andrea received a law degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and obtained a Legislative Consultant Diploma (LLM) at the Istituto Superiore dei Studi Legislativi (ISLE) – Scuola di scienza e tecnica della legislazione.

Nicolas Gouwy, Vice President, Global Marketing, Sanofi Pasteur MSD

Nicolas Gouwy is Vice President of Global Marketing at Sanofi Paster MSD.
He joined the company in 2012 from Astra Zeneca, where he was the Vice President of Global Marketing Infection and previously, Global Marketing Director CNS. There, he was responsible for successfully developing the brand strategy for the launches of Seroquel SR, Zinforo and Fluenz. Prior to working with Astra Zeneca, Nicolas worked with UCB in various Marketing leadership positions, where he oversaw several successful product launches over his eight years with the company. Previously, he held various management positions within GlaxoSmithKline (SmithKlineBeecham) and Omega Pharma.
Nicolas Gouwy holds an MBA and a degree in Pharmaceutical Science, both from the State University of Gent in Gent, Belgium.

Nicoletta Luppi, Vice President & General Manager, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Italy

Nicoletta Luppi is Vice President and General Manager of Sanofi Pasteur MSD Italy, as well as Managing Director and President of the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Sanofi Pasteur MSD in September 2012, Nicoletta spent nearly twenty years with Merck Sharp & Dohme Italy (MSD), where she successfully managed various Business Units, the Cardiovascular Metabolic Franchise, two subsidiaries within the MSD Italy Group, the Primary Care of Schering Plough and, at last, Market Access & Commercial Operations.
After earning an undergraduate degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature, she earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the “L.U.I.S.S.” School of Management in Rome (Italy).

Richard Stubbins, Vice President & General Manager, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, UK

Richard Stubbins is Vice President and General Manager for Sanofi Pasteur MSD in the United Kingdom.
He joined Mérieux, the UK subsidiary of the pharmaceutical group Pasteur Mérieux Sérums et Vaccins in 1992, and, took his current position in 1995. Richard was instrumental in setting up a specialist trade body for the vaccine industry, the UK Vaccine Industry Group (UVIG). As UVIG Chairman, Richard has acted as the vaccine industry’s media spokesman and, in 2011, was invited to present on the UK industry at the inaugural European Influenza Summit. Richard was also a member of the joint Royal Society and Academy of Medical Sciences working group from 2008 to 2010 on Pandemic Influenza.
He graduated from Liverpool University in Commerce, England and then qualified as a chartered accountant.

Serge Montero, Vice President & General Manager, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, France

Serge Montero is Vice President and General Manager for Sanofi Pasteur MSD in France.

Prior to taking on this role in 2013, Serge was Vice President and General Manager of European Midsized Countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland.  He has served Sanofi Pasteur MSD and its family of companies for more than twenty years. Over that time he’s held leadership positions in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Supply and Information Systems.

He holds a Doctor in Science (PhD in Computer Sciences) degree from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées, in Lyon, France, a Master in Finance and Banking from the Université de Lyon II and a Master in Applied Mathematics and a Master in Technological Sciences (Computer Sciences), both from the Université de Lyon I.

Ricardo Brage, Vice President & Managing Director, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Spain

Ricardo Brage is Vice President and Managing Director for Sanofi Pasteur MSD in Spain.

Prior to his current role, Ricardo was Business Unit Director Specialists and Hospitals, for MSD Spain. In all, Ricardo has more than twenty years of professional history with MSD/Merck & Co, where he held different positions of responsibility in the Sales and Marketing fields, as well as Operations and Business Development and Strategy, both at national and international levels.

Prior to his two decades at Merck & Co/MSD, Ricardo began his professional career with Arthur Andersen.
Ricardo has a degree in Economics from Denison University and an MBA from Houston University.

Andreas Sander, Vice President & General Manager, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Germany

Andreas Sander is Vice President and Managing Director for Sanofi Pasteur MSD in Germany.

Prior to joining Sanofi Pasteur MSD in 2011, he was Vice President Central Europe and Managing Director Germany for ALK-Abello A/S. In this role he was responsible for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to this role, Andreas had held different various positions in various international pharmaceutical companies. At Wyeth, Andreas had served as Commercial Director, Head of BioPharma in Germany and General Manager of Wyeth in Poland with focus on vaccines and biopharmaceuticals.

Andreas has a Master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the Free University Berlin and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
