About Us

Sanofi Pasteur MSD was established in 1994 as a joint venture of two leaders in biomedical innovation.

Our history dates back to the late 1800s when Louis Pasteur made world-changing discoveries in human health with the goal of combating infectious diseases before they strike. Since then, from Charles Mérieux to Jonas Salk and from George Merck to Maurice Hilleman, the forebearers of vaccination helped beat back disease.  We’re  proud of this heritage.
